Anushka is an actress and producer in Bollywood. She is the highest paid actor in Bollywood, and is recognized for her performance. Anushka Sharma's parents include Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is an officer in the colonel (retd.) She is also a housewife. Karnesh, Anushka Sharma's older brother, who was in the Merchant Navy is now a film director. Anushka completed her education at Army School in Bangalore, after which she pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) at Mount Carmel College. Anushka Sharma is a graduate with a Master's degree in Economics. Anushka Sharma was not looking to become an actress. Instead She wanted to be a model, or writer. Anushka completed her education in Mumbai was accepted into Elite Model Management. She was trained by style consultant Prasad Bidapa. In 2008, Anushka Sharma made her acting debut with the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The actress took time to study and was able to not attempt the test on her own. After that, she was signed to three movies under the Yash Raj Films banner. She played a role as an unwed bride and tied to a man of middle in age (the persona Shah Rukh Khan was portraying). That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh, in which she played an upper-middle class Punjabi girl who starts her own wedding planning business. The film received a positive review. Anushka had completed her three-film contract in partnership with Yash Raj Films.
